Information We Collect

RV Loan Wizard does not require user accounts or login. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information. Calculator inputs are processed server-side and are not stored after your results are returned.

First-Party Analytics

To understand how visitors use the site, we operate our own privacy-focused analytics system. When you visit, your browser is assigned a random visitor ID (stored in localStorage) and a random session ID (stored in sessionStorage). These IDs contain no personal information and cannot be used to identify you.

We collect the following interaction data:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Scroll depth (how far down a page you read)
• Calculator interactions - whether you started, submitted, or viewed results from a calculator
• Whether affiliate call-to-action boxes were visible on screen and whether you clicked them
• Referring website (the site you came from)
• UTM campaign parameters from the URL, if present

Your IP address is never stored directly. We apply a one-way hash with a daily rotating salt, producing a value that cannot be reversed to recover your IP. Device type (mobile, desktop, tablet) and browser family (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) are derived from your browser's user-agent string for aggregate reporting only.

Third-Party Analytics (Google Analytics)

We also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic sources and visitor demographics in aggregate. GA4 may set its own cookies in your browser. For details on how Google collects and processes data, please review Google's Privacy Policy.

Local Storage and Cookies

Our first-party analytics uses browser localStorage (for your random visitor ID) and sessionStorage (for your random session ID). These are not cookies and contain no personal information. You can clear them at any time through your browser's settings or developer tools.

We do not set our own advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Google Analytics may set cookies as described above.

Affiliate Link Tracking

When you click an affiliate link, you are redirected through a tracking endpoint on our site before reaching the partner's website. During this redirect, we log:

• A random click ID
• The partner and offer you clicked
• The page you clicked from
• A general result tier from the calculator (for example, a price range like "$25k-$75k") - not your actual financial inputs
• Your one-way hashed IP address
• A timestamp

We do not log your name, email, financial details, or any information you enter into a calculator.

Third-Party Sites

Affiliate partner sites have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review them before providing personal information.

Data Retention

Analytics data is stored on our server in a local database. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties. The only external analytics service we use is Google Analytics 4, which receives its own separate data stream as described above.

Your Choices

• You can clear your browser's localStorage and sessionStorage at any time to reset your random visitor and session IDs.
• You can use browser extensions (such as uBlock Origin) to block analytics scripts entirely.
• All calculators remain fully functional with analytics disabled - results do not depend on tracking.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
