About RV Loan Wizard
I built RV Loan Wizard after owning and traveling in a Class A diesel-pusher. The hardest part of buying (and upgrading) wasn't just picking the rig, it was figuring out the real financed amount once doc fees, prep, taxes, add-ons, and trade-in payoff hit the worksheet.
This site exists to make that math visible.
By day I'm a software engineer, which is why accuracy matters to me. Every calculator is built on standard amortization formulas, tested against known outputs, and open about its assumptions. Guides cite official sources (CFPB, state DMV pages, lender disclosures) and carry revision dates so you can tell when content was last reviewed.
My Approach
- Transparency: Every calculator shows how the math works, no black boxes.
- No signup: Use every tool instantly, for free, with no account required.
- Privacy-first: I don't sell personal data or require accounts. See the privacy policy for details.
- Fast and accessible: Server-rendered pages that work on any device and any connection speed.
Methodology and Assumptions
- Payments use standard amortized loan math (fixed-rate, fully amortizing).
- Estimates depend on the inputs you provide and results are only as accurate as your numbers.
- Sales tax rules vary by state and locality (trade-in credits, caps, surtaxes). Calculators model common patterns but can't cover every jurisdiction.
- Dealer fees and add-on prices vary widely. Calculators let you enter them, but can't verify what a dealer actually charges.
How This Site Makes Money
RV Loan Wizard may earn a commission when you click on affiliate links to lending partners. This doesn't affect the calculations or recommendations, and you're never required to click. See the affiliate disclosure for full details.
